Legendary Wrestler Passed Away During Show, London

LONDON - A lucha libre wrestler, known as Silver King, died in a middle of a match in London. The Mexican wrestler was generally known to star in Jared Hess’ “Nacho Libre” collapsed, after allegedly experiencing cardiac arrest in the middle of a show in London.

Going with the mask in gold, the 51-year-old wrestler Cesar Cuauhtemoc Gonzalez Barron – the real name of Silver King - was performing as usual at The Roundhouse, a venue in North London, when he suddenly collapsed and did not wake up anymore. The audience at the moment thought that it was a part of acting, since the wrestling industry is well-known for their silly-yet-believable act. However, the situation turned dark quickly as the referee tried to wake him up to no avail.

Other wrestlers at the stage tried to do CPR, in order to prevent Barron from going to the other side. However, when the medic came, it was all too late for the Mexican masked luchador.

The wrestling world is now mourning of the death of the famous Lucha Libre fighter and also the former star of WCW. WWE, the famous wrestling entertainment company in US, addressed the condolences through their official Twitter account.

Cesar Barron was known for his act with Jack Black in the 2005 film “Nacho Libre” where he appeared as Ramses, the main villain of the movie.
