Ko Itakura, "the Japanese player the president has been looking for," is close to going to Napoli? The Korean national team defender's transfer to Bay
The Italian media outlet CalcioNapoli24 mentions the player and reports that he may be the Japanese player that De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, has been looking for.
Itakura moved to Borussia MG from Manchester City in July 2022. Last season, he played 25 official games and recorded two assists. His contract with Borussia MG remains until June 2026, but with South Korean defender Kim Min-jae, who plays for Napoli, likely to move to Bayern Munich, the club is looking to acquire Itakura as a replacement.
According to the media, Borussia MG wants
15 million euros (about 2.33 billion yen), but Napoli's offer is 12 million
euros (about 1.86 billion yen). The media reported that "Itakura Koh could
replace Kim Min-jae as Napoli's next defender. Itakura could be the Japanese
player De Laurentiis has been looking for," the report said.
