Jokowi unveils the new cabinet’s lineup

Answering people’s questions once and for all, on Wednesday, the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, generally known as Jokowi, revealed the names for his new cabinet, dubbed as Indonesia Onward (Indonesia Maju), at the State Palace, Jakarta.

Before revealing the lineup for the cabinet, President Jokowi asserted that the objectives for the next five years will be human resource improvement, more employment, and encouragement of micro-enterprises.

Without further ado, here is the full lineup for the Indonesia Onward cabinet for 2019 – 2024:

1. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs: Mohammad Mahfud MD (former Chief Justice of Constitutional Court)
2. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs: Airlangga Hartarto (former Minister of Industry/Golkar Party chairman)
3. Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment: Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan (Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs in Jokowi’s first-term Cabinet)
4. Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture: Muhadjir Effendy (former Minister of Culture and Education)
5. Minister of Defense: Prabowo Subianto (Gerindra Party chairman)
6. Secretary of State: Pratikno (also the Secretary of State in Jokowi’s first-term Cabinet)
7. Minister of Home Affairs: Tito Karnavian (former Chief of National Police)
8. Minister of Foreign Affairs: Retno L. P. Marsudi (also the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Jokowi’s first-term Cabinet)
9. Minister of Religious Affairs: Fachrul Razi (former Deputy Commander of the Indonesian Military)

These are the complete lineup of Indonesia Onward cabinet that will assist Jokowi in his 5-year office duties. In his tweet, Jokowi stated that he wanted his ministers to be productive, innovative, hard-working, and out-of-the-box.

They were inaugurated by the President of Indonesia at 10.30 a.m at the State Palace.
