Jokowi revealed the names of the deputy ministers

Coming to the State Palace under the summoning of President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, generally known as Jokowi, there were twelve figures to be appointed as the Deputy Ministers in the Indonesia Onward cabinet.

Since 8.00 a.m, these figures entered the State Palace clothed in white shirts. After meeting the President and discussing the visions and missions bore as Deputy Ministers, these twelve figures came out to meet the press, revealing their plans and the positions given by them.

The first one coming out was Mahendra Siregar who stated that he is appointed as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The last one was Angela Tanoesoedibjo, the daughter of the Chairman of the United Indonesia (Perindo) Party, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, appointed as the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.

The following is the complete lineup for the Deputy Ministers:
1. Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs): Budi Gunadi Sadikin (former President Director of state-owned mining holding company, Mining Industry Indonesia [MIND ID])
2. Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs): Kartiko Wirjoatmodjo (former President Director of State-Owned Lender Bank Mandiri)
3. Deputy Minister of Defense: Wahyu Sakti Trenggono (former Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin’s campaign team treasurer)
4. Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy: Angela Tanoesoedibjo (former Managing Director of Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia [RCTI], a subsidiary of diversified conglomerate MNC Group)
5. Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs: Zainut Tauhid (Deputy Chairman of Indonesian Ulema Council [MUI])
6. Deputy Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning: Surya Tjandra (Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) politician)
7. Deputy Minister of Public Works and Housing: John Wempi Wetipo (Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) politician and former Jayawijaya regent)
8. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs: Mahendra Siregar (former Indonesian Ambassador to the United States)
9. Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry: Aloe Dohong (former Peatland Restoration Agency [BRG) Deputy for Construction, Operation, and Maintenance)
10. Deputy Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Region, and Transmigration: Budi Arie Setiadi (chairman of Projo, volunteer group supporting Jokowi)
11. Deputy Minister of Trade: Jerry Sambuaga (Golkar Party politician)
12. Deputy Minister of Finance: Suahasil Nazara (former Head of Finance Ministry's Fiscal Policy Agency [BKF])

President Jokowi formally and officially appointed these twelve Deputy Ministers at 2.00 p.m at the State Palace.
