Jokowi mentioned 7 Company's Factories will Relocated to RI

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) confirmed that there were seven foreign companies relocating their factories to Indonesia. Five of the seven factories moved from China while the other two from Korea and Japan. Therefore, he asked the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) to immediately complete the facilities that must be given to investors starting from matters of permits, electricity, gas, and others.

Jokowi also mentioned that there are 119 potential companies that will relocate their factories from China. In addition to the seven companies that are certain to enter, there are 17 companies that have committed to enter in with a total investment of US $ 37 billion and a potential employment of 112 thousand people.

One company that has stated its commitment is LG Chemical with an investment value of 9.8 billion US, and a potential employment of 14,000 people. The process of entry of 17 companies into Indonesia, he said, had reached 60 percent.

Relocation from China because they want to make Indonesia an export base market for several categories of home appliances products
