Japan - New Coronavirus to Expand the Scope of Inspection at Public Expense

While group inspections are being conducted at restaurants and other entertainment venues such as host clubs in Tokyo, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has compiled new standards that expand the scope of inspections at public expense. According to this, if there were no symptoms of suspected infection, only those who were recognized as rich contacts of the infected person were targeted, but it is considered that there is a high risk of infection in the workplace and the area where they live.

The target of inspection, tests such as PCR to check whether you are infected with the new coronavirus are currently performed on people who have symptoms suspected of being infected and those who are deemed necessary by a doctor or who are considered to be rich contacts of patients even if there are no symptoms. Among them, those who do not have symptoms are divided into treatments according to the risk of being infected, and a thorough PCR test is conducted for those involved in restaurants with entertainment and those in the area who are at high risk of being infected.

On the other hand, tests to confirm that people who are at low risk of infection are not infected are not paid at public expense, and professional athletes, etc. take their tests at their own expense. In addition, for people involved in hospitals and facilities for the elderly who are at high risk of becoming seriously ill, for example, if one person is infected, it will be tested.

The foolishness of trying to reduce the number of PCR tests under some conditions. If a large number of tests are carried out at the same time as in other countries, they will be postponed and neglected due to the rapid increase in the number of infected people, so this will be a nuisance. It's not clear if it's the second wave right now.
