Hurray! Prequel novel The Hunger Game will be made into a film

If you are a The Hunger Games series lovers, prepare yourself! Because the author, Suzanne Collins has confirmed that the prequel novel 'The Hunger Games' is being worked on. Collins who previously wrote The Hunger Games (2008), 'Catching Fire' (2009) and 'Mockingjay' (2010), is currently concentrating on working prequel that took 64 years before the first trilogy event, focusing on failed rebellion efforts Panem country. Even though the title hasn't been announced yet, this novel is planned to be released in May 2020

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate plans to re-produce the prequel. Previously Lionsgate also adapted Collins' three book novels into four films, namely The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay Part 1, and Mockingjay part 2.

Joe Drake, head of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said that he was proud to be able to filming Collins' novels. He felt impatient waiting for the next novel to be published. Drake also said that he had communicated with Collins and hoped to continue working with her.

Collins trilogy novels has been embodied in four films released between 2012-2015. Actress Jennifer Lawrence plays a role as main character, Katniss Everdeen, who is imprisoned in the world of dystopia where teens have to fight to death as entertainment.

The Hunger Games series has so far managed to collect profits of more than US $ 3 billion at the global box office. Not only that, more than 80 million of her books have been translated into more than 50 languages throughout the world.
