How Fast is World’s Fastest Bullet Train in Japan?

Sendai, Japan – Always one step ahead, the rising sun nation, Japan, is currently testing the fastest bullet train in the world on Monday (5/13/2019). Wondering how fast is this bullet train can go? This train can run up to 400 kph according to CNN Travel with ALFA-X Shinkansen as the first ever bullet train series to ever launched for the next three years that the passengers can experience in the future.

ALFA-X is designed with a futuristic model and completed with 10 carriages and a pointed nose. The test was done on the route between the City of Sendai and Aomori, which is about 280 kilometers away after midnight twice a week when there were no busy activities on the tracks, and it was beyond the speed of China's Fuxing train.

It is reported that ALFA-X's testing was done a year after the testing of the new high speed Shinkansen N700S. Japan continued the test which began more than a year ago. However, this The Shinkansen N700S will start operating in 2020 with the maximum speed is only 300 kph, meanwhile ALFA-W will start operating in 2030 with the maximum speed reaches 360 kph.

Apparently, these new model train testings coincides with Japan's preparations to host the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Even though the train speeds did not exceed the magnetic levitation of Japan Railway, or maglev, which reached 603 kph on the experimental track in 2015, but many Japanese are looking forward to travel around the country with these new bullet trains.
