EDION, a consumer electronics retailer, revealed that the servers of group companies were compromised and more than 77,000 items such as customer names and phone numbers were deleted. The company is investigating the possibility that the deleted information may have been leaked to the outside.

According to the company, on the 8th of April, it was confirmed that the server of the delivery management system operated by the group company was illegally accessed and some personal information was deleted.

The deleted personal information is the information registered by the customer who purchased the air conditioner or refrigerator when requesting delivery or installation, more than 77,000, and when receiving the luggage in addition to the name, address, telephone number, etc. Images such as signs of are also included.

On the other hand, it does not include information related to payments such as credit cards.

The company is rushing to investigate the possibility that the deleted information may have been leaked to the outside, and has decided to report the damage to the police.

EDION commented, "We sincerely apologize for causing a great deal of inconvenience and concern to our customers and related parties. We will inform you as soon as the details such as whether or not there is an outflow to the outside are finalized."
