Hollywood legend, Marilyn Monroe’s Iconic Statue is Stolen

Hollywood, USA - After 25 years has stood at the top of the "Four Ladies of Hollywood" which is the gateway to the Walk of Fame, on Monday (6/17), the statue of Marilyn Monroe is stolen and allegedly taken by sawing.


This theft has been confirmed by the Los Angeles police in the early hours of the local time the Los Angeles Police Department as the police immediately checked the location and found several fingerprints.


According to board member Mitch O'Farrell, there were witnesses who saw someone climb a two-floor gazebo on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and take a Monroe statue with the iconic pose as in the film The Seven Year Itch (1955) on Monday.


The Gazebo where the Monroe statue was stolen itself, named 'Four Ladies of Hollywood.' On the ground floor of the gazebo, there are statues of Dolores Del Rio, Dorothy Dandridge, Mae West, and Anna May Wong who support or become the pillars.


According to AP, the silver gazebo was founded in 1994 as a form of respect for women in the field of film especially in Hollywood. The Monroe statue itself is located above on the top floor. She was one of the most iconic Hollywood actresses who famous in the 1940s to 1960s. Until now, the iconic pose adorns the streets of Hollywood and Palm Spring.


Unfortunately, until now the police still have no clue about the suspects or thieves of this iconic statue and still isolating the scene for further investigation.
