Here’s What You Need to Know about The First 5G Laptop in The World by Qualcomm and Lenovo

Taipei - Are you a gadget maniac? the world's first 5G laptop Qualcomm Technologies and Lenovo will be exhibited at the Computex Taipei 2019 event which opens today until June 1. This laptop project is called Project Limitless. Lenovo laptops are powered by the world's first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8CX 5G computing platform made specifically for computer devices.

According to Qualcomm's official website, this Snapdragon 8CX is different and offers a deep user experience such as multi-gigabit data speeds, long battery life for days, and high security system capabilities. In addition to the Snapdragon 8CX processor, this laptop is also powered by the Snapdragon X55 5G and RF Front-end Qualcomm modem features which is a comprehensive solution that allows OEMs to bring 5G connectivity. Users will experience download speeds of up to 7Gbps without a Wi-Fi connection or hotspot.

The 5G connectivity in the laptop will collaborate with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology inside the device. For example, when a user makes a video call with another user from another country and is constrained by language, the AI technology will directly translate directly the language used. Amazing right?

Not only relying on 5G connectivity, Lenovo Project Limitless laptop devices are also supported with 4G connectivity which can reach download speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps.

However, according to Slashgear, Qualcomm and Lenovo have several obstacles to realize this device. The Windows 10 operating system on Lenovo laptops raises a number of disappointments. Therefore, everyone has to wait for this laptop until 2020 because the two technology giant companies still have time to solve the 5G connection coverage problem until next year.
