Help people affected by the flood with GrabRewards

Facing the rainy season and flood, Singaporean ride-hailing service’s branch in Indonesia, Grab Indonesia, remains committed to alleviating the burden of flood victims by gathering donations through GrabRewards. The flood occurred since the first day of 2020 due to the torrential rain.

For the noble mission, Grab Indonesia collaborated with an Indonesia-based humanitarian organization, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), for donation distribution.

Previously, Grab had also held strategic collaboration with the Jakarta Government in flood mitigation, handling the flood and post-flood. Grab provided technology to assist the Jakarta Government such as information distribution regarding the flood, assistance, and logistics for the flood victims in Jakarta.

The ride-hailing service partook in the disaster by spreading the information for locations afflicted by the flood and the assistance necessary for the people.

Grab Indonesia stated that as a part of Jakarta’s society, Grab continues to go whatever length to help alleviate the inflicted areas and victims of the flood.

How to give a donation? The points accumulated on GrabRewards can be exchanged for a donation. For example, 250 GrabRewards points are worth of a Rp5,000 donation. Or, 500 GrabRewards points for a Rp10,000 donation. The donation can be made starting Friday afternoon.

Grab Indonesia hopes that by providing the donation, it could help Jakarta recover from the flood.
