Haus Laboratories, Lady Gaga’s Makeup Brand to Launch Exclusively on Amazon

The long-anticipated beauty line of American unconventional artist, Lady Gaga, will be finally out and available to purchase on Amazon.

Haus Laboratories, Gaga’s makeup brand, is debuting in September in the US, Europe, and Asia, including countries like the UK, Germany, France, and Japan—with a total of first nine countries.

The debut will be the first time for a cosmetic major brand to be launched by an online retail giant Amazon, seeing Gaga’s singer counterpart Rihanna was previously launching her makeup brand partnering with traditional cosmetics sellers like Sephora-parent LVMH and Ulta Beauty.

Her brand inspiration draws from her early childhood when Gaga discovered the power of makeup, after struggling to find a sense of inner and outer beauty. Color is completely transformative, she told Business of Fashion in an interview. It’s powerful and beautiful that has inspired her to discover her beauty by having the ability to invent herself and transform to who she wanted to be. Through makeup, Gaga found bravery within her, as written on her Instagram account.

That is why her product line itself says, “They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but at Haus Laboratories we say beauty is how you see yourself”.

When asked about her reason partnering with Amazon, Gaga said that the online retail embraces the same message of self-acceptance. That is a big deal when some other companies just want her to tailor the brand that fit with their corporate image.

With Haus Laboratories exclusive launching on the website, this will also be a boost for Amazon’s cosmetic business which already has its own private skin care line, Belei.
