Halsey's Confession About Her Mental Health

The famous singer in music world, Halsey, has been open with her personal life. In 2015, she told the entertainment media that she had miscarriage before her performance. Now she opens up about her ongoing struggle with bipolar disorder. She suffers the disorder since her age was just 17 years old.

Halsey confessed that she has committed suicide twice since she became known as “Halsey”. The singer with real name Ashley Nicolette Frangipane said that she’s not ashamed talking about her bipolar disorder and the treatment she received. Halsey also said that she’s currently experiencing an extended manic period. The album she’s working on right now is the first album she has written in manic period, as explained by herself. The songs were written in minutes and samples everything from hip-hop, rock, to country in her new music. The album will be the first of her record to not be classified as a concept album.

As for her calm periods, she described it as “boring” and she hates the depressive episodes of bipolar disorder. For Halsey, the maniac state makes her art sounds better. Now she lives a clean and productive life. She stays away from hard alcohols, drugs, or smokes pot. It seems like she’s trying to do her best in battling her mental illness. Halsey said that she won’t leave home a lot, but she’s happy to go to grocery store by herself because she doesn’t want to be a co-dependent person.
