Hacker Bjorka Claimed to Breach Indonesia’s Data
It has been more than a month since cyberattack have been
continuously targeting government institutions. After previously leaking data
at PLN, Indihome, 1.3 billion sim card registration data, and finally 105
million voter data, this time it was the classified documents and letters sent
to the president that were leaked.
The information was buzzing after the Twitter account @DarkTracer
uploaded the news by noting “Transactions of letters and documents to the President
of Indonesia were leaked to the deep web by Bjorka”.
In a statement on Monday (12/09), cybersecurity expert
Pratama Persadha explained that the leak was uploaded on Friday (09/09) by a
member of the forum site breached.to with the identity name 'Bjorka' who also
leaked a lot of data.
As of today (14/09), the government announced that they have
found out the identity and the location of “Bjorka” but still could not be
publish to the public due to some reasons.
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security
Affairs, Mahfud MD said, “We are continuing to investigate because until now
the description of the perpetrators has been well identified by BIN and the
National Police, but it has not been announced yet.”
Mahfud also said that, “They have inconsistent motives. There
are political motives, economic motives, buying and selling motives, and so on.”
