GoFood and GoPay make it rain for GoJek

One service from the Indonesian ride-hailing company, GoJek, proved its worth. GoFood, delivery service from GoJek, contributed Rp18 trillion for GoJek, although the company did not mention the percentage any further.

Furthermore, GoJek did not mention during what period was the amount accumulated. In 2018, the CEO of GoJek, Nadiem Makarim, revealed that GoFood contributed Rp28.7 trillion for GoJek. Other than GoFood, GoPay also made it rain for GoJek.

From GoPay, GoJek had accumulated Rp90.4 trillion, making GoPay the biggest money tree for GoJek. In the year, GoJek’s managed to accumulate Rp126 trillion worth of gross merchandise volume (GMV).

VP Corporate Affairs (Food Ecosystem) at GoJek, Rosel Lavina Soedjati, claimed that GoFood was the biggest food delivery service, rivaling GrabFood, in Indonesia and ASEAN region. Quoting GoJek internal research result, Rosel claimed that GoFood had covered 75% of its market in Indonesia.

Rosel stated that GoFood provided as much as 12 million kinds of dishes from 400 restaurants throughout the ASEAN region. Moreover, Rosel flaunted that GoFood drivers had better attitudes.

The Chief Food Officer at GoJek, Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo, thanked the GoFood’s customers for their loyalty and trust for GoFood. Through various “superior” user experience, GoFood managed to step up its game by bringing tempting discounts and precise service to its customers.
