Go-Jek Indonesia Acquires Recruitment Platform Start-up AirCTO to Expand India Operations

The ride-hailing company Go-Jek has just acquired a Bangalore-based artificial intelligence recruitment platform developer, AirCTO, to leverage its operations in India.

Over the past three years, AirCTO is known for helping a range of corporates and start-ups to match with qualified candidates for crucial technology roles. For Go-Jek, AirCTO team will also help this Indonesia’s decacorn company by focusing on the use of technology and innovative solutions to scale up the hiring process of quality talent, especially that automate the search of the premium engineering talents.

The acquisition is prompted by the opening of Go-Jek’s second engineering and product development center in India’s financial and technology hub city, Gurugram. In order to double down on the expansions, Go-Jek plans to hire 100 employees aiming to reach a total headcount of 500 in India by the end of the year. The recruitment platform start-up is said to be joining Go-Jek with immediate effect.

Previously, Go-Jek has acquired another India’s start-ups like healthcare start-up Pianta and mobile apps developer consultant LeftShift.

Founder of AirCTO, Atif Haider, said that he found the best fit in Go-Jek after having talks with several numbers of other tech giants. He added that the most important thing in the deal is knowing his company and Go-Jek share similar DNA and is committed to contributing to the company’s growth in Southeast Asia.

Go-Jek is currently one of the fastest growing start-up companies in Indonesia that has expanded its business to neighboring countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
