German 2nd division club Kiel is interested in Japan national team player Shuto Machino...8 goals in the J-League this season.
Machino has played for Shonan since 2021, scoring 13 league goals in the 2022 season and has eight goals and three assists in 16 league games so far this season.
Kiel is interested in one of the best Japanese strikers in the J-League. He is reportedly ready to pay a transfer fee for Machino, who reportedly has a contract remaining with Shonan until January 2024. On the other hand, Kiel's SD (sporting director) Uwe Stöver said, "As usual, we do not comment anywhere on the names that are circulating in the press.
Note that Kiel has also had Asians such as Lee Jae Sung
(Mainz) and Masaya Okugawa (Bielefeld). They have stepped up after their
experience at Kiel, and it is hoped that Machino will be a similar example.
