George Clooney is Returning to TV

George Clooney is finally returning to TV, after two decades of not having a TV series. Although Clooney is still active in films, his last TV series was ER. The TV series aired from 1994 to 1999 and the public haven’t heard about him coming out on a new television series.

Clooney will be back on a miniseries named Catch-22. The miniseries will be premiered on May 17, 2019, on Hulu, a streaming platform. The images of the movie were released on December 19, 2018, while the first teaser was released on February 11, 2019.

Catch-22 is about Yossarian, a US Army Air Forces bombardier in World War II who is furious because thousands of people he has never met are trying to kill him. However, he later finds out that it’s because the army giving the men missions in order to complete the army.

This miniseries is an adaptation of Joseph Heller’s 1961 novel with the same name. The novel itself has actually been adapted into a movie in 1970. Hence, this year’s Catch-22 will be the second adaptation of the novel.

Catch-22 is going for the dark comedy genre, which will be full of satire. This fits Clooney perfectly due to his past works that included satire. Clooney also expressed his thought about the miniseries, saying that Catch-22 has a luxurious way of storytelling.
