Gasoline retail price rises for 2 consecutive weeks National average 169.2 yen per liter

The nationwide average retail price of regular gasoline this week was 169.2 yen, marking the second consecutive week of price increases.

According to the Petroleum Information Center, which publishes gasoline prices on behalf of the government, the average retail price of regular gasoline nationwide as of the 24th was 169.2 yen per liter, up 0.1 yen from last week.

It's been 2 consecutive weeks of price increases.

From the 27th, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will provide a subsidy of 36.4 yen per liter from the amount wholesaled to gas stations in various places.

Regarding the outlook for the future, the Japan Petroleum Information Center said, "While oil-producing countries have decided to cut production, there are deep-rooted concerns about a delay in the recovery of the Chinese economy."
