From Ride-Hailing to Super App, Gojek Indonesia Re-Branding

Indonesia’s unicorn Gojek has just launched its newest logo called ‘Solv’ on Monday (7/3).

Since its first debut in 2010, Gojek transformed from only offering three services, including the ride-hailing service, to 22 on-demand services. Even Gojek’s customers are now able to send messages through the company’s chat feature which launched in April 2019.

The astounding transformation is taking Gojek to become a Super App that helps in solving the daily needs of the society. Chief executive of Gojek Nadiem Makarim said that the logo itself, which is shaped like an inverted on/off button, represents ‘one button for all’—defining the company’s solid ecosystem to provide benefits for all customers, partners, and merchants.

With the super app, customers can enjoy more than 20 services on Gojek platform. Moreover, partners can benefit beyond getting and running orders, such as have access to financial products as well as safety and security features. While for merchants, Gojek provides convenience through its digital platform to expand their market, especially on GoFood.

After winning the market in Indonesia, Gojek is now ambitiously running its mission toward ASEAN market to become the largest food delivery service in the region, President of Gojek Group Andre Soelistyo said.

Despite the branding and changing of the logo, Gojek ensures that it will not affect its vision in providing the best service to the users.
