Forbes Confirmed 4 of Indonesia's Largest State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Prime Minister of Indonesia is Proud

Jakarta, Indonesia - Indonesia State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Prime Minister, Rini M. Soemarno on Thursday (6/13) stated that, she is very proud with the four state-owned companies that got into the list of the largest public companies in the world by Forbes magazine, as this Forbes ranking showed that Indonesia companies have strong competitiveness with other top global companies.

It is reported that the four companies that included in the Forbes magazine are PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI), PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BNI).

Rini also stated that, the appreciation given by the international community as the proof of the seriousness of the state-owned company to realize its long-term vision as a service provider and to have good performance in the country and hopefully globally.

BRI entered the position 363 in the list. The bank has a market cap of USD 38.8 billion. While the value of revenues reached USD 9.4 billion, profits amounted to USD 23 billion, and assets are USD 90.2 billion, making it's the largest bank in Indonesia.

Bank Mandiri is in the position 481 in the list. It is reported that Bank Mandiri's revenues reached USD 8 billion, with profit of USD 1.8 billion and assets reaching USD 83.6 billion. While the market capitalization value is USD 25.9 billion, making it's the second largest bank in Indonesia.

Then Telkom got into the position of 747. Telkom is the largest telecommunication company in Indonesia. The company's revenue reached USD 9.4 billion with profit of USD 1.3 billion and assets of USD 13.8 billion. The company's market capitalization value is reported to reach USD 27.2 billion.

Last but not least, BNI becomes the third state-owned bank to be included in the list of the largest public companies in the world with the position of 835. The bank's revenue is reported to reach USD 4.9 billion, with a profit of USD 1.1 billion, assets of USD 56.2 billion, and market capitalization of USD 13.1 billion.

The BUMN Minister also mentioned that, they will keep up the positive performance and increase the achievement so that state-owned companies can continue to serve the country, becoming agents of development that focused on improving the welfare of the community from now and the future.
