Fastest Shinkansen in Japan

TOKYO - Japan is known for their bullet train. These bullet trains – “Shinkansen” in Japanese – transverse throughout Japan to ease the Japanese to travel inter-districts. This shinkansen arrives punctually, and they are proven to be a fast mean of transportation like its name.

However, the Japanese adhere to a principle that they will not be easily satisfied with any achievement. Now, they are aiming to test the fastest bullet train in the island. However, do not get your hopes up because this train is not going to be able to ride on until 2030.

The bullet train, ALFA-X, runs at 249 miles/hour, making it the best and fastest bullet train to ever run on the railroad in Japan. Despite the top speed, the train is going to deliver Japanese people to their destination at 224 miles/hour. Because too much speed is never too good.

The train is made from an ultra light material, and it is made to be the longest train in the history of Japanese train. Since Japan is prone to earthquake, an accident-prevention system that deals with the natural disaster is also required. Ordinary shinkansen has the system already. Fortunately, ALFA-X also comes with speed dampers which slow the engine down without toppling the train over, in case earthquake occurs.

The first districts to experience the breathless shinkansen will be Tohoku and Hokkaido, according to Japan Rail Pass, the official vendor of railing ticket in Japan.

However, this speed is only bested by Maglev train in Shanghai. It runs as the fastest commercial bullet train in the world, beating the shinkansen with 268 miles/hour even before entering the match. The name “Maglev” itself is an abbreviation to its source of speed, “Magnetic Leviation”. In other words, the train does not have wheels and it flies with the property of magneticism.
