Equipped with 5G, Apple will release 3 new iPhones in 2020

California, USA - TF International Securities analyst, Ming Chi Kuo stated that Apple will launch three new iPhones equipped with 5G for the first time in 2020 using a modem provided by Qualcomm. Kuo also predicted that Apple will release a high-end iPhone with a size of 5.4 inches and 6.7 inches with an OLED screen and with the 6.1-inch model, OLED sails.

It is reported that the 5G network itself has two different types. MMWave technology is the super fast 5G network that is the most talked about. However, not all 5G networks will use mmWave technology in all regions, because mmWave technology is more suitable for use in dense urban areas especially cities.

However, in suburban or rural areas, 5G technology will be available in mid-bands and low-bands, called sub-6GHz 5G. This technology is still faster than 4G, but not as fast as mmWave and people can also enjoy the faster internet experience as well.

According to the source, the reason why Apple wants to equip 5G for their new phones is due to Apple's acquisition of the Intel modem business. Kuo also said that the acquisition supports that Apple will have more resources in making the 5G model.

Kuo mentioned that Apple's iPhone 5G strategy is becoming more aggressive after the US export ban on Huawei, and they estimate that the 5G iPhone will reach around 60% of total iPhone shipments in the second half of 2020.
However, in a June report, Kuo said that only two of the three new iPhones will come with 5G networks. Along with 5G technology, the iPhones that will be released is rumored to be coming in new sizes, according to the users' needs.
