Dutch first division club Feyenoord is expected to acquire Japanese international Ayase Ueda from Belgian first division club Cercle Brugge. The Dutch
Ueda transferred completely to Cercle
from Kashima Antlers in July 2022. Last season, he played 42 official games,
scoring 23 goals and providing 2 assists. His success led Feyenoord to acquire
the player in this summer's transfer market, and the two clubs have reportedly
agreed on a five-year contract. Ueda is expected to replace Brazilian
international Danilo, who left Feyenoord for Scottish first division club Rangers.
According to the media, Feyenoord will tour Japan if they
are successful in acquiring Ueda. The media outlet also claims that Feyenoord
will tour Japan and play a friendly match against Urawa Reds, a team with which
they have a strategic partnership. The 24-year-old Japanese international will
soon sign a contract with Feyenoord for a few seasons and open new doors in his
home country. The club is looking to sign Ayase Ueda for a few more seasons.
