Doesn't Want to Become a Shelter, Mexico Refuses Asylum Restrictions by the US Government

Mexico - According to Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, Mexico will not be a place of disposal for asylum seekers who were rejected by the US and said his country will respect the principle of non-refoulement in accordance with current international law. This is because most Central American immigrants from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador ran away from poverty and gang violence or drug trafficking in their country.

It is reported that previously, on Tuesday (7/16) Donald Trump's government would block most immigrants who were looking for an asylum across the southern US border from Mexico. This policy is the latest attempt to stem the flow of illegal immigrants entering the United States.

General Attorney, Bill Barr stated that the United States is a generous country but they are currently overwhelmed by the burden associated with the arrest and processing of hundreds of thousands of immigrants along the southern border and this rule will reduce them who are trying to exploit their asylum system to gain access to the United States immediately.
It is informed that the new White House rules target new streams from Central America and other countries that have tried to cross and enter the United States from Mexico and request asylum to gain a citizenship in the country.

It is informed that this policy emerged in the middle of the White House which these days having a hard time after the Guatemalan constitutional court prevented President Jimmy Morales from signing an immigration agreement with the US which will set the Central American country as a safe third country and that the country must offer asylum to every immigrant who enters his territory on their way to the United States.
