Discussion of the serious problem super-aging society
The "Vision Creation Conference" was held on the 3rd at Asahi Shimbun in Tsukiji, Tokyo, where people in charge of companies and local governments discuss how to solve the problems of a super-aging society. Participants shared a mission to solve problems and discussed the vision (landscape) that could be seen in the future.
"Inofis", a venture company from Tokyo University of Science working on robot development, was the founder and co-sponsored with the Asahi Shimbun. A total of 18 people, including 10 companies engaged in businesses for the elderly such as Kao, IBM Japan, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and local government officials participated.
The aging rate in Japan has reached 28.7%, and there are many issues such as the reduction of personal consumption and increase of social security costs. With this situation in mind, the participants decided on the mission of "a society where everyone can be who they want to be, no matter how many they become." As an index three years from now, the government has set a survey to increase the living satisfaction of the elderly.
