With rejection of number 02 Prabowo-Sandi lawsuit in Constitutional Court, General Election Commission (KPU) will appoint presidential candidate number 01, Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin on Sunday (6/30).Regarding the decision, Indonesian police cooperated with Indonesian national army to carry out security in several places related to location of the inauguration. One of them is KPU building in Central Jakarta.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Sr. Comr Harry Kurniawan said that there were a number of places other than the KPU building which were heavily guarded during the announcement, namely Constitutional Court building, Election Supervisory Body building, and House of Representatives building. Other areas such as the HI Roundabout, Semanggi, and Suropati Park were also not spared from the attachment of joint apparatus.
Kasubdit Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kompol M. Nasir, through a written statement said that his party had deployed 645 personnel to secure KPU building. Hundreds of personnel have been deployed since last Saturday (29/6). The safeguards carried out include installing barrier wire and diverting traffic flow around Jalan Imam Bonjol. For traffic engineering itself has been done since 7 a.m. local time.
Regarding this traffic engineering, Nasir ensured that his party wouldn’t interfere the activities at KPU because it would be carried out in two directions.
The presidential candidate Joko and his deputy Ma'ruf Amin were confirmed to be announced today as the winners of 2019 Indonesian presidential election. This victory was won by incumbent after they won a vote on KPU's manual recapitulation with 55.50 percent or 85,607,362 votes. While their competitors, Prabowo-Sandi won 44.50 percent or 68,650,239 votes. The difference from the two pairs vote reached 11 percent or around 16,957,123 votes
