Dear Donald Trump, Please, Stops the Trade War: Companies

These companies just cannot take it anymore. The trade wars happening currently between China and US leave the world dumbfounded and sputtered. From tariff hike between the two until banning of some products from both countries, the world got caught in the web of conflicts that seem far from end.

Therefore, somebody needs to act, right? Just about time, 600 companies fell down on their knees and asked Trump to just stop the wars and make peace with China.

These companies complained about the tariff that US government slapped onto their products, claiming that it also hurt American businessmen and companies. Furthermore, these companies stated that this tariff could also diminish jobs in its wake.

Recapitulating the trade wars for you, Trump’s tariff hike from 10% to 25% on US$200 billion Chinese goods caused uproar even among his own people. China also did the same to counterattack Trump’s policy, by raising tariff from 5% to 25% over US$60 billion on American goods in its land.

Even worse, both countries now exchange “entity lists”. Started by America, Trump banned Huawei from entering US market. Meanwhile, China also made its own list to warn every nation not to comply with Trump’s scheme.

In US, there is already a national campaign currently running called “Tariffs Hurt the Heartland”. As the name states, it condemns Trump’s tariff move. It sent many letters to Trump concerning their complaints about the tariff hikes. Most of the letters were from business people. But, as we know Trump, he might have turned a deaf ear to the letters.

Donald Trump and Xi Jinping are planned to meet and talk at G-20 Summit from 28-29 June in Osaka, Japan. However, the latest information foretold that Trump was ready to exercise the tariff hike after the G-20; thus, it only made the tension between US and China intensify.

In other words, the world might need to brace themselves for another disturbance in the economic force.
