David Silva: Vincent Kompany will be part of City forever

David Silva, Manchester City midfielder, leads the tribute to Kompany’s leaving from Man City. On Sunday, through his social media he posted his first day in the club where he met Kompany. On his twitter, Silva wrote “He was here the first day I came to the club. He’s been here and he will be here forever. Good luck, captain! #Legend”.

David Silva and Kompany have spent nine years together as companion at the club. 3 years after the Captain joined Man City, Silva came to join the club in 2010.

Previous Man City striker, Sergio Aguero who transferred to Atletico Madrid in 2011 also posted on his twitter to thank Kompany for their time together at the club. He mentioned that it was a pleasure to share 8 years growing together in Man City. He wished all the best to Kompany’s new stage.

Another City’s comrade, Kevin De Bruyne said it had been a “privilege” to play and be in the same team for about 10 years with Kompany. Bruyne also mentioned that he learned a lot from Kompany and wished him all the best for the future.

The youngster City player, Phil Foden added that City will miss the Captain.

A shocking news revealed by Vincent Kompany just less than 24 hours after the Citizens got the first title in FA Cup and created history as the first team in England who won the domestic treble trophies.

He is going to start a new job as player-manager of Anderlecht, a Belgian club which he joined at 6-years-old. With this new stage, Kompany ends his 11 years career at Manchester City.
