Takefusa ‘Messi’ Kubo Officially joined Real Madri

Real Madrid made a surprising signing by signing young Japanese midfielder Takefusa Kubo. This was announced by Los Blancos through their official website, on Friday (6/14/2019).

Reporting from Marca, Kubo confirmed news about joining Real Madrid. He also said that he was very happy to become El Real’s player.

Kubo will be at Real Madrid Castilla starting next season. According to Football Espana, Madrid paid 2 million euros to get Kubo from FC Tokyo. The former La Masia player was given a six-year contract. He has become a mainstay of  Japanese national team in various age groups. Player who born on June 4, 2001 also made his debut in Japan's senior national team in a friendly match against El Salvador on June 9.

Kubo or Messi from Japan, previously had spent four years in the Barcelona academy. But he had to leave in 2015 when Barcelona was convicted of illegally recruiting underage players. He then joined FC Tokyo. After that, his career keep increased. In 2016, when he was 15 years old, he got a promotion to join the first team.

This 174 cm tall player has become sixth recruit for Madrid to face 2019/2020 season. Previously, Los Blancos had brought Rodrygo, Eder Militao, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy, and finally Eden Hazard.
