Tatsuhiro Sakamoto (Sports Nippon Shimbun)

Coventry acquires Tatsuhiro Sakamoto from Ostende, 3-year contract with transfer fee of 210 million yen, local reports

Sakamoto, who made his debut for Japan in 2009, joined Oostende from C Osaka on a temporary basis in January 2010. In May of the same year, he made a full transfer to Oostende. The team finished 16th in the first division last season and was relegated to the second division, but Sakamoto was active and won the team's MVP award. Several clubs were interested in acquiring him.

On his social networking site, Sakamoto wrote, "I have decided to move to Coventry City in the Championship. I will do my best to play an active role in a new place in England," he wrote on his SNS.
