Companies that are relocating investments to RI will be groundbreaking

The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) stated that one of the seven companies that ensured to relocate investment to Indonesia will begin groundbreaking next week. BKPM Spokesperson Tina Talisa explained that the groundbreaking that will be held next week shows BKPM's hard work to attract investors and oversee the investment. 

BKPM also continues to strive to maintain the investment climate in order to be able to create jobs, especially during the pandemic that has an impact on economic growth.The investment plans for the seven companies that will ensure that they relocate their businesses in the first phase are estimated at US $ 850 million or equivalent to Rp. 11.9 trillion with investment destination locations in Central Java, West Java, Banten, DKI Jakarta and North Sumatra.

The number of workers that can be absorbed is predicted to reach 30,000 people. In addition, BKPM has mapped 17 companies in the exploratory process to relocate investment and 119 potential companies.From the realization of investment data for Quarter I (January-March period) 2020 the total investment reached IDR 210.7 trillion, up 8.0 percent compared to the same period in 2019, which was IDR 195.1 trillion.

The investment value during the First Quarter of 2020 for Domestic Investment (PMDN) of Rp112.7 trillion and Foreign Investment (PMA) of Rp98.0 trillion. During the first quarter of 2020, a total of 303,085 workers were absorbed.
