Christmas Day in Indonesia, TransJakarta provides free ride

Celebrating the august Christmas Day, the Jakarta Government is providing free transportation service by TransJakarta for the people celebrating Christmas Day at Cathedral Church, Central Jakarta.

The offer is valid only for two days, Tuesday or Christmas Eve (from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.) and Wednesday tomorrow (from 5 a.m. to 12 a.m.).

Head of Corporate Secretary Division and Public Relations of TransJakarta, Nadia Diposanjoyo, said that TransJakarta has provided six units of low-entry MetroTrans with the maximum capacity of 60 people to commute people from IRTI Monas to Cathedral.

Nadia said that low-entry buses are provided so that families with disabled or elderly members can commute together.

Therefore, for those who don’t plan to bring their vehicles to Cathedral, TransJakarta is providing free ride for these corridors: 2 (Pulogadung - Harmoni), 2A (Kalideres - Pulogadung), 2D (Rawabuaya - ASMI), 3 (Kalideres - Pasar Baru), 5C (PGC - Harmoni), 5H (Harmoni - Ancol), 7F (Kampung Rambutan - Harmoni via Cempaka Putih), 8A (Grogol - Juanda), and 12M (West Sunter Boulevard - Harmoni). Then, get down at IRTI Monas stop.

For those who ride their vehicles to Cathedral, yet the parking lot is full, they can park their vehicles at IRTI Monas, across the National Library.

Then, they can get on the free MetroTrans ride from IRTI Monas to Cathedral. The bus arrives and goes in a 5-minute interval.
