Children got HIV, Why Pakistani Doctor Affected Them on Purpose?

Pakistan - Muzzafar Ghangharo, a doctor in Pakistan was arrested after allegedly causing around 400 children and 100 adults to be tested positive for infection with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). This horrible issue began when Ghangharo, who was positive for AIDS, allegedly transmitted the disease to his patients in early April.

Rehmat Bibi, mother of Ali Raza (10) who was infected with AIDS said that they were devastated when they found out that their son is HIV positive and as the only one of all family members who is positive for contracting HIV as reported by AFP on Friday (17/5).

When his son had a fever there was nothing strange initially because the doctor only prescribed paracetamol syrup for Raza and told him there was nothing to worry about. However, Bibi panicked when informed that a number of children who had fever in villages near her stay were tested positive for HIV. After undergoing laboratory tests, the hospital confirmed that his son was included in 500 people, with the majority of children affected by this harmful disease.

Non-sterile needles are suspected as the cause of this disease as the HIV virus was often spread throughout the region through the use of infected  needles as informed by Pakistani health officials. It is also reported that the officials are still investigating the case while asking for the better and sterile medical equipments to the government.
