Chelsea Thrashes Watford 3-0, Marching towards Champions League

Chelsea fans can now celebrate, since The Blues managed to secure the fourth place in Premier League, after thrashing Watford 3-0. After a rough start at the beginning of the season and playing in the Europa League, Chelsea eventually made it to the playoff phase for Champions League in the next season 2019-2020, thanks to Arsenal and Manchester United's recent draw.

Playing at their home Stamford Bridge, Maurizio Sarri did not hesitate to go all out against their less favored guest, playing almost their best players onto the pitch. Nonetheless, Watford’s defensive line was proven strong in the first half, holding up The Blues to the draw, in spite of Blues’ possessive play.
Only God, Sarri and the players know what Marrizio Sarri did to the players in the changing room, but it did the magic. Three minutes played after the second half commenced, Ruben Loftus Cheek, a homegrown Blues, hit the ball into the net, giving Chelsea their lead.

Watford is known as a black horse team, since their great defensive trait and ability to turn the match into their favor. Nonetheless, in this match, they seemed to be hopeless. Not soon after, precisely three minutes from the first goal, Brazilian player David Luiz strongly headed the ball through the net, catching Ben Foster off guard. To top it off, 15 minutes before the end of the match, Chelsea’s recent bought player from AC Milan, Gonzalo Higuain, proved his worth by tipping the ball, delivered by Pedro, over Ben Foster, who could only watch helplessly. The match ended with Chelsea’s 3-0 triumph over Watford.

With this result, Chelsea made it to the top 4, upgrading themselves from Europa League to the most prestigious European football competition, Champions League. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea are still thriving in the Europa League. Arsenal will play Valencia, while, Chelsea will play Eintracht. The two English teams are favored to face each other in the final.
