Chairman of the Seal Industry Association agrees with the abolition of administrative stamps
Takao Tokui, chairman of the All Japan Seal Industry Association, who met with Taro Kono, the minister in charge of administrative reform on the 28th, revealed his intention to abolish the useless stamps in the administrative procedures that Mr. Kono advocates in response to a telephone interview with the Mainichi Shimbun. On the other hand, Mr. Kono boasts 2 million of his followers on Twitter, saying, "Send it so that all the stamps do not seem to be bad."
Mr. Tokui had a 15-minute interview with Mr. Kono, who visited Hokkaido to inspect the area around the Northern Territories, with the help of a local member of the House of Representatives. Regarding the abolition of unnecessary seals in administrative procedures, he said, "I want you to proceed in the interests of the people."
On the other hand, he emphasized that the seal has a role as proof of rights and obligations based on the national registration system. "The word 'Hanko abolition' is preceded, and there is a misunderstanding that all stamps should be eliminated," he told Mr. Kono and asked him to be careful when making a call.
