Mayor of Chiba and Kamogawa “No conflict of this interest”

Mayor Ikuo Kameda of Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, at a regular press conference on the 25th, said that while the city ordered a business to the company "Kaytes" in the city of which he is an advisor, he received a reward as an advisor. He said that it is a conflict of interest, but if it is taken into consideration, it may fall into such a situation, but that is not the case for him. 

According to the materials requested by the Mainichi Shimbun to disclose information to the city, the city ordered 15 cases in FY2018 and FY19 for public works of approximately 85.25 million yen (excluding consumption tax, the same applies below). He said that he was made the company for a long time ago and he was doing in many place and connection. so he took consideration into it very well. the city entrusted to Kay Co., Ltd. the waste transportation work of approximately 1,837,470,000 yen out of the "waste waste relay facility maintenance and operation business" totaling 7,379 million yen ordered in March 2010.

According to the mayor's report on assets, etc., which is released based on the city's ordinance every July, Kameda reported Kay Co., Ltd. as an "affiliated company" who received compensation in 18 and 19 years. Also, according to a private credit bureau, as of December 2019, Kameda was the largest shareholder of Kay's 600 outstanding shares of 62.5%. he promised to check the number of sharesof satelite Kamogawa, the representative of Kamogawa
