BOLT24 by Gatorade; A Drink for Athletes

Gatorade, a beverage company, announced they will release a newest product—BOLT24. Gatorade is known for producing beverages such as sports drinks and protein. This time, the product is not far different from the previous ones. However, what makes this one different is that; they are aiming for athletes to buy the product.

Of course, non-athletes are allowed to drink this as well, but Gatorade is hoping they can sell the product to athletes. According to Gatorade, BOLT24 only contains 80 calories and 100 percent of the daily value of antioxidant vitamins A and C, also vitamins B3, B5, and B6. In addition, this drink doesn’t contain any artificial sweeteners or flavors. They revealed that BOLT24 will be available soon all over U.S. and Amazon later this summer.

It is reported that BOLT24 will be the first product in a new platform. By any means, Gatorade is probably going to launch similar products in the future. The Gatorade’s PR agency stated they are creating the beverage to support athletes’ lifestyle that always needed to be hydrated. Gatorade plans to sell each bottle for USD $2.19.

Athletes need more protein than average people. Which is why they eat a lot meat, fish, eggs, dairy and even soy—known to contain massive protein. Although they eat proteins, they would sometimes need extra protein and that is why they drink protein powder as well. Other than protein, they sweat a lot due to practice, so hydration is a must. Gatorade sees this as an opportunity which is why they are launching the BOLT24. However, regular people are welcomed to drink BOLT24, because there are also people who like or need to stay hydrate.
