Block building games comes to live

Since 2009, Minecraft has been released on more than 20 different platforms, starting from PC to consoles to mobile phones. Now, Minecraft is heading somewhere new which to bring the blocks to the real world.

A company name Redmond campus developed the Minecraft AR (Augmented Reality) app using an array of its mobile, GPS and tracking technologies. The news was leaked a few weeks ago and not it has officially announced by Microsoft as Minecraft Earth.

It is said that the Minecraft Earth is similar to Pokémon Go but with building blocks. You will see an overhead map of your surrounding overlaid with the blocky look of Minecraft as you enter the game. You can walk and tap the blocks to mine for building blocks. The blocks will go to your inventory and you can start constructing your own model.

Constructing is an interesting part of the game. You can construct anything on a virtual Build Plate. According to the art director of Minecraft, Brad Shubber, there are no features that are being removed so it is a full Minecraft experience.

Furthermore, players are able to construct and alter their models depending on the particular space. Let’s say you’re at home and you want your cobblestone mansion to fit on your living room, but if you are in the park, you can increase the scale of your model up to 32 meters square.
