Chelsea: Cech is our ‘enemy’ in Europa League Final

The Europa League final match between Chelsea and Arsenal at Baku stadium in Azerbaijan will be the last game for the Gunners’ goalkeeper Petr Cech before he leaves the club at the end of the season. 

Ex-Chelsea goalkeeper, Carlo Cudicini who is currently the Blues Ambassador and head coach’s assistant, said that Petr Cech will be Chelsea’s “enemy” during the Europa League final. 

"For us (Chelsea) he is obviously an enemy for 90 or 120 minutes, for however long we are on the pitch," said Cudicini. 

He added that the final match will be a huge game for the Arsenal goalkeeper since in his last competition, the rival will be a club which has been a significant part of his life and career as professional football player. 

Although Cech will against his former club, Cudicini believes that he is professional and intelligent. He mentioned that once Cech is on pitch, he will forget emotions and everything to win the League’s title.

Petr Cech started his career with the Blues from 2004 to 2015 before moved to Arsenal. As Chelsea’s goalkeeper for 11 years, he successfully helped the club to win four Premier League titles and a Champions League in 2012.   

Cech is going to re-join Chelsea taking role as a new sporting director in this summer. Previously via his official twitter account, Cech said that he will focus to win the Europa League with Arsenal and make a decision after the game end.
