Australians are Investing in Japanese Real Estates

Japan has been Australia’s one of the most favorite overseas destinations for the past 15 years. There was a survey in 2004, which result is 2.5% of Australians said that Japan is the travel destination they would like to visit. Fast forward to 10 years later, 5.5% of Australians would like to visit Japan; it even ranked higher than Thailand.

A lot of Australians really went to Japan for a holiday. The number of visitors is growing, and one of the most favorite destinations in Japan is the ski fields. However, the Australians are not only visiting the ski fields though, some of them even bought a property and commercial ventures like guest houses and hotels. Simon Robinson who works for Hokkaido Tracks Real Estate revealed that Australians are interested to buy property in Japan. Niseko, a popular ski area, is one of their go-to investment locations in Japan for them.

A family member of Australia Scott Aggett, a real estate agent, is reported to have bought Ryuoo Ski Lodge in 2015. Mr. Aggett (the owner) is planning to develop the property into a hotel. He stated that Ryuoo has not been discovered by the western market yet, which is why he thinks Ryuoo is a great opportunity for him. He has been promoting the lodge in the market during the time when Australians visit to Japan is considered high. The rooms are occupied, and that means Mr. Aggett earned a big profit.
