Asking for 10 Ministers position for PKB, Cak Imin is unethical
Indonesian elections for 2019-2024 period are over. General Election Commission has set the pair Joko Widodo and Ma'ruf Amin as the winners of this 5-year party.As one of coalition bearers of Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin, general chairman of the Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar also congratulated them on Tuesday (2/7). The man who usually called Cak Imin came with the Chairpersons of the PKB Regional Leadership Council (DPW) from all over Indonesia.
On the occasion, he said that PKB intended to propose a number of representatives to become part of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin cabinet. He intends to propose a minimum of 10 names for ministerial positions. Previously, Cak Imin indeed expressed his hope that PKB could get 10 ministerial positions in the coming government period. He expressed this during joint iftar event last Saturday (05/18/2019) at Deputy Chair of Republic of Indonesia MPR official residence, Jalan Widya Chandra IV. At that time, he prayed that PKB could get a minimum of 60 seats in the Republic of Indonesia Parliament and a minimum of 10 names of ministerial positions.
In response, Taufiqulhadi, a member of the Nasional Demokrat Party, felt that what Cak Imin said in public wasn’t ethical. Because according to him, talks about division of ministerial positions should be carried out during a meeting with Jokowi. A similar sentiment was also expressed by the Indonesian vice president for the 2014-2019 period, Jusuf Kalla in January. He felt that the minister's position should be shared fairly with political and professional parties.
Meanwhile, PDIP politician Arteria Dahlan said that he had no problem with the proposal from Cak Imin. According to Arteria, PDIP and coalition partners have handed over policies related to this cabinet to President Jokowi.
