An Elderly Woman Got Stabbed On the Way Home

SAITAMA - It was a Saturday morning when a 76 year old woman walked home at Fujimino City, Saitama Perfecture. She walked home after she was done with the shopping. Just when she reached her apartment neighborhood, she felt something sharp on her back and it was hurt. When she turned her head, it turned out a woman was back stabbing her using a knife. She screamed immediately and the suspect quickly ran out of the scene.

Thankfully, the woman was able to walk to her home, which immediately greeted by her husband. Her husband then rushed to call 110 and took his wife to the hospital in split seconds. 

The police stated that the incident happened at around 10.30 a.m. in the morning, during a broad daylight. According to the police, the victim only received minor injuries and the stab is not a life threatening.

A few hours after the incident, around 2.30 p.m. a woman turned herself in at a koban (police box). The suspect name is Aya Odakiri. Odakiri is an unemployeed 36 years old woman. This woman who lives in Kawagoe, Saitama Perfecuture returned herself in at a police box near her house and said she has committed the crime.

However, the suspect and the victim do not know each other. Furthermore, Odakiri Stated that she has no motive to stab the victim.
