Ahok to Build a Startup Company
Basuki Tjahaya Purnama, commonly known as Ahok or BTP, announced that he is going to build a startup company. In fact, he stated that the application for the startup company will be available anytime soon.On August 3, Ahok and his team posted the announcement on Instagram. The name of the company is 'Jangkau' and they mentioned about the company's purpose. Jangkau is said to help people in need. Not only that, those who want to help but have no idea where to donate, can donate the money through Jangkau. Until recently, there has not been any further information about the company. However, with the existence of Jangkau app, it seems like people will be able to get in touch with the company and its programs easily.
Ahok is widely famous after elected as the Jakarta's vice governor along with Jokowi in 2012 and became the governor after Jokowi join the 2014 president election. Before becoming a Jakarta's vice governor, Ahok was a governor in Bangka Belitung. However, long before that, Ahok has a few businesses in various industries. One of his famous businesses is stannary contractor.
Other than his stannary contractor business, Ahok has other businesses such as a hotel in Bangka Belitung as well as a property investment business. Although Ahok was a business man before he got elected, he is remembered as a good governor among the citizens.
