Goo Hara’s name has recently become a topic of conversation due to her attempted suicide some time ago. Recently, Goo Hara is known to have signed a contract with a Japanese agency after recovering her health condition. Previously, Goo Hara herself was under the auspices of an artist agency from South Korea, Content Y. However, her contract had ended since last January. With the news of his cooperation with the Japanese agency, Goo Hara will certainly carry out her activities in Sakura's country.

Hara will be sure to return her appear in public at the 2019 TV Tokyo Musik Festival on June 26. This popular music festival began in 2014 and aired with other music festivals ahead of the holiday. Besides Hara, popular Japanese artists such as Kinki Kids, V6, Kanjani 8, KAT-TUN, AKB48, Koda Kumi, also invited to this festival. Goo Hara also ensured her presence on the event through a short video on the Instagram account's Story feature. She said that she was very grateful and happy. She also said that she would continue to work hard and ask for support from everyone.

In May 2019, Goo Hara had a suicide attempt at her home. This is known by her manager who is paying attention to uploads from their artists on social media. Goo Hara complained about the pain and effect of someone’s negative words. She also wrote "Annyeong," in Korean, which means 'Goodbye'.

Realizing that something was wrong, her manager then tried to contact the former KARA’s member, but didn’t get an answer. They immediately headed for Goo Hara's residence, where Hara was found in a room filled with smoke in a state of unconsciousness. Goo Hara survived despite having to get treatment.

In 2018, Goo Hara was also rumored to have attempted suicide, but was denied by the agency. Her manager said that Goo Hara had suffered depression for a long time.
