Adam Levine is Leaving The Voice US after 16 Seasons

The Maroon 5 frontman was announced to be leaving The Voice after his appearance as judge and coach on the show for 16 seasons. On The Today Show, Carson Daly who acts as Voice host shared the news that Levine has decided to leave and he will always be cherished by The Voice family.

The Voice also released a statement on its official Twitter page confirming that Levine will not be a coach on season 17. As a replacement, Gwen Stefani was said to take his place for the show along with another coach, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton. Previously, Stefani has served as a coach for the singing show’s season seven, nine, and 12.

Responding to the news, Clarkson and Shelton were disappointed knowing that Levine will not be returning and said that they just knew about this decision on Thursday (5/23).

On his Twitter, Shelton tweeted that he still found it confusing to know Adam Levine is leaving. But their time working together throughout the show has changed them both and he will miss his fellow coach.

While Clarkson said that she understands Levine has been doing the show for a while and wants to step away, yet it will be peculiar for her to show up at work when Levine is not there.

Levine also shared a photo of himself and Blake Shelton with a caption “A rare moment of tenderness” on Twitter.

Adam Levine has been a coach on the show since its debut in 2011. He has led three victories for Javier Colon in season one, Tessanne Chin in season five, and Jordan Smith in season nine.
