A new "meatier" patty from Beyond Meat is ready for sale

Beyond Meat on Tuesday announced a new version of plant-based burger would be launched this week. The company claimed if the new patty is “meatier” than before – even more like beef from its looks, tastes and cooks.

The newest patty is qualified to be a “complete protein” since its formula consist of full proteins from mung beans, rice and peas.

The company uses cocoa butter and coconut oil to create a marbling effect, making the new vegetarian burger’s texture closely to real meat. Apple extract is also used to make the meat become brown when it is cooked.

The Beyond Meat Founder and CEO , Ethan Brown, said the burger is for consumers who want to eat healthier meat and reduce their impacts on the planet.

Beyond Meat looks forward to its new patties will be available by the end of this June in all store nationwide that sell Beyond Meat products.

Previously the company released its Beyond Burger 2.0 in restaurants. Unfortunately at the same time, a new and improved burger came out from the competitor, Impossible Foods, which won the Consumer Electronics Show award on January.

Beyond gained success since its public offering last month at $25, stocks of the meat substitution producer have increased more than 500%. However, its share were trading falling on Tuesday, closing down $42.06 at $126.04 per share, after J.P Morgan downgraded the stock.

According to a report, a net revenue of Beyond Meat for the first quarter 2019 reached $40.2 million, up 215% from last year and  a net loss of $6.6 million
