Searching into The Suspects’ House, Japanese Police Confiscated Various Items

Kawasaki, Japan - The Japanese broadcasting agency, NHK, reported that on Wednesday (29/5) morning, the police began searching Iwasaki's house, a mass stabbing suspect that killed at least two people in Kawasaki. Local media reported that Iwasaki lived with a relative who is around 80 years old. However, the police were reluctant to reveal the information regarding the search and life of the suspects of the mass stabbing further.

According to NHK, the police confiscated several items from inside the house located not far from the location of the mass stabbing. Unfortunately, on Tuesday (28/5) Iwasaki stabbed himself after carrying out the mass stabbing.

It is reported that the incident started when Iwasaki hid behind a group of girls waiting for a school bus at a stop near the train station on Tuesday morning. Then, he stabbed blindly using two knives in each of his hands. However, Iwasaki ended his action after accidentally stabbing his own neck to death.

Iwasaki's mass stabbing action killed two people, namely an 11-year-old elementary school student, Hanako Kuribayashi, and a 39 years old man, Satoshi Oyama.

This mass stabbing issue definitely became huge news in Japan as a country with low crime rates. The Japanese government also promised to conduct a review of rules that could guarantee the safety of students on their way to school. Japanese government spokesman Yoshihide Suga stated that, all governments will work together to ensure people especially students' safety in order to prevent this issue to happen again and endanger people in Japan.
