Peru – It is reported that on Sunday (5/26) around 02.41 in the morning local time, Peru was shaken by an 8.0 magnitude earthquake. According to the initial US Geological Survey (USGS) report, the epicenter was 110 kilometers (68 miles) deep, located about 80 km from Lagunas City and 158 km from Yurimaguas City.

According to AFP, on Sunday (26/5), there were no reports of casualties or injuries from the earthquake. This was the second earthquake in Peru, remembering In February 2019, a magnitude 7.5 earthquake shook the border regions of Peru and Ecuador. The earthquake caused nine people to be injured and cause damage in Ecuador.

The earthquake caused so many residents left their housed when the earthquake hit the city. They were reported to have been evacuated to avoid the huge magnitude earthquake.
